Quick stop over at Chopstop

We headed to Robinson's General Trias, the mall nearest to our house, for some errands. As a product of curiosity over their advertisement about their 'crispy kare-kare', we stopped by Chopstop for a quick lunch.

IT'S CHOWTIME!

JACK DANIEL'S PORK CHOP (139.00 PHP)

Mr. C got interested in this Jack Daniel's flavored meal. It came with a little serving of nachos on the side. The nachos was a little tough. Mr. C gave a feedback that the meat to breading ratio was not good. The pork was nice though and had a little bit of spicy taste. The sauce was tangy.

CRISPY KARE-KARE (PHP 195)

I'm a fan of kare-kare with the sauce that has a thick, nutty flavor so this dish immediately impressed me. The sauce was so good it's 'bitin'! (Well, I blame Mr. C for that) They also lived up to its name - it waaas crispy! They used bacon as the main meat so to all bacon lovers out there, go ahead and try this innovative dish!

RED VELVET MUG CAKE (35.00 PHP)

The price was originally 49.00 but we availed the promo and got the discounted price of 35.00 PHP. You would not expect such quality of this cake at the price this affordable. It is served warm, giving you that moist texture. The red velvet flavor was mild. The winning part of it was the cream cheese which came with a nutty flavor.

ORDER WARS
I owned this round! The revolutionary kare-kare is definitely a better order than the pork chop.

WANNA-CHOW-AGAIN  METER
Food and service was good. Would consider coming back, but not something I would crave for. Metering this as "OK. BEEN HERE."
